Discussing AI’s impact on coaching

The intersection between coaching and artificial intelligence is one of the hot topics for coaches today. Having a leader from the coaching industry Jonathan Passmore come to debate it with us made for an excellent developmental event for us at Coaching Reading

Our discussion ranged across AI’s capabilities, limitations, ethics and how it will impact the environment, data usage and of course what the need for global regulation will be.

AI has the potential to enhance but also to replace human coaches. So human coaches need to leverage their own unique skills and capabilities such as critical thinking, lived experience, empathy and humour to differentiate themselves from an AI driven future.

As always when we come together Coaching Reading we reflected on the impact for our own professional practice.  Big thank you to Jonathan Passmore for sharing your knowledge and time with us!
